On Monday, September 8, we will meet at the lobby of the Hotel Meliá at 14:00 h, where we will board a bus towards the new "Museu do Oriente" in the Docks of Lisbon. The Museum is territorially international in scope and trans-disciplinary in approach seeking to, through the interchange of points of view deriving from the fields of History, Art and Anthropology, provide Portuguese and international visitors with a living and insightful memory of Asian cultures and the centuries old relationships established between the East and the West, particularly as regards Portugal. When arriving, we will have a guided tour of the Gods of Asia exhibition featuring ritual objects, iconography, altars and much more.
After visiting the museum we will take the route to Azeitão, near Setúbal, to visit the José Maria da Fonseca cellars and have a Welcome Drink. Owned and managed by the same family for over 200 years, this company produces the best wines of the Setúbal region.
The Meeting Dinner will take place at 20:00 h in the "Teares Novos" cellars, nearby the José Maria da Fonseca Manor House, that holds about 400 thousand litres of the well-know Periquita wine.
